First step when creating a new project is drawing walls. You can do this manually or by using Quick Room wizard (described below). To draw walls manually click the Wall button then move the mouse cursor to the left lower corner of working surface. Click once to begin drawing a wall and move mouse forward. When you reach the desired length click mouse button again. Continue with drawing the second wall to the right. Draw all the walls using the same procedure. The last wall should end where the first wall begins. This way the room will be closed. It is possible to close room without drawing the last wall by hand. Simply click button Close room. Program will draw one or more walls to close the room – depends on the number of already drawn walls.

While drawing walls you can switch off / on the Ortho Mode. When this is on the angle between walls is 90 degrees. If Ortho Mode is off you can draw also other angles between walls.

To disable the drawing mode press ESC key or use right mouse click and select Cancel from the context menu.

Quickest way to drawing the walls manually is entering the exact length with keyboard. Click the Wall button then move the mouse cursor to the left lower corner of working surface. Click once to begin drawing a wall and move mouse forward to any length. Use the keyboard to enter the length in cm (for example 277.4 cm) then press Enter or Tab. Move the mouse in the direction of second wall and enter the length in cm again. Repeat until you draw all the walls.

You may select any wall and delete it by clicking Delete button or pressing Delete key on the keyboard. Click Draw Walls and on one of the circles on end points of walls to continue manual drawing.

After drawing the wall you can see its properties in the functional surface. Every wall you entered has its name. You can select the wall by clicking on it in the working surface or using the left/right arrow button to the right of the field Name in the functional surface. After you selected the wall you can change any wall properties (Length, Thickness, Angle, Height). Height is always the same for all the walls in the project and represents the height of the ceiling. You can alter the numbers in the fields by clicking into the field and entering number on the keyboard. Instead of that you can click buttons + and – to the right of the fields. If you click on the button between + and – you can set the increment. When changing wall lenght you can click the arrow to define direction where change will appear.

Round walls

Create round walls by holding CTRL button during drawing. You can adjust radius after the wall has been drawn.

Maximum length of the wall is 100 meters, height 10 meters, width 2 meters. Default wall height is 250 cm and width 15 cm. You can alter this in Preferences in File menu. If you don’t want to alter the default values you can enter the width and / or height before entering the first wall. The values you entered will be used when you draw the walls.

When entering walls manually it may be useful to use underlaying images.

Walls represent outer border of your room or project. When creating big projects like the one below use divider murals or other mural types from submenu Mural.
