Regions are surfaces on walls, floor, murals or ceiling. Each region can be placed with selected tiles or textures. After placing walls into your project each wall represents a separate region. Into these automatically created basic regions you can add smaller regions. This can be done either with use of assistants in the TILE – Fast menu or manually in this menu.

Regions can be manually added also after you already placed tiles using assistants in TILE – Fast menu.

You can manually insert these types of regions:

Rect – rectangular region

Round – annular region

Free – region of free shape

Inserts – regions created from defined number of selected tiles

Rectangular, round regions and inserts can be created using 2D or 3D view, while free regions can only be created in 2D view. Click here to watch a short video on ViSoft Youtube channel showing how to create a region in 3D view.

Creating regions over multiple surfaces

Surfaces of walls and murals can be visualized in an adjoining view without free space between them. To remove the space between walls/murals surfaces move your mouse cursor to the outline of the wall/mural until the following cursors appears and press left mouse button. This will remove / create space between basic regions. When  there is no space between basic regions you can easily create rectangular, free or round regions over multiple surfaces.
