Please, make sure your ViSoft Premium is up to date [required version 2022.2.577 or later]. This contains a solution so you will be able to use Sketchup Warehouse again.
However, you will need to make a cost-free Trimble account registration through ViSoft: please go to Sanitary Browser and click on “Sketchup 3D Warehouse”, then click on the icon in the top right corner to be able to register a profile. (As marked with orange on the picture below.)
- You will see a Trimble “Sign in” option: choose “Create a Trimble ID” to make yourself a free account.
- Fill out the required data and click on “Send code”. You will receive and email to the given address. Then your free Trimble account is ready!
- After singing in with your Trimble account, all the Sketchup Warehouse functions have to work flawlessly in ViSoft Premium again.
Importing SKP files into ViSoft
Due to changes in licensing terms, support for the SKP file format will no longer be available in ViSoft starting with patch 2026.2. This means that importing SKP objects directly or adding SKP files through the SketchUp Browser will no longer be possible.
However, the SketchUp Browser will remain available, and objects can still be downloaded and added to ViSoft in COLLADA (.dae) format. To check whether the object you need is available in COLLADA format, open the object in the SketchUp Browser. If there is an arrow next to the Download button, click it to display the available file formats. If COLLADA File (.dae) is listed, select it and download the object.
Once the COLLADA file has been downloaded, it can be placed in your ViSoft project.
If you have an SKP file that you would like to use in ViSoft, you can convert it to the COLLADA (.dae) format and then import the converted file into ViSoft.
To convert the file, you need to have SketchUp installed on your computer. You can download it here:
After installing SketchUp, locate the SKP file on your computer and open it in SketchUp.
Step 1: Click File.
Step 2: Go to Export.
Step 3: Select 3D Model.
Step 4: In the window that appears, select the location where you would like to save the converted file and choose COLLADA File (.dae) as the export format.
Step 5: Click Export.
The converted COLLADA file can now be imported into ViSoft.
